Your Keys, Your Control
We're excited to announce BYOK (Bring Your Own Key), a feature that gives you complete control over your AI provider costs and access. Instead of routing through Grimoire's API infrastructure, you can now connect your own API keys directly to providers like Anthropic, OpenAI, and others.
Why BYOK Matters
With BYOK, you maintain direct billing relationships with AI providers, which means transparent pricing with no markup. You also get immediate access to new models as soon as providers release them, without waiting for Grimoire to add support. For enterprise users, this means compliance with existing vendor agreements and the ability to leverage volume discounts.
Security First
Your API keys are encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption and are never logged or shared. Keys are stored in your browser's secure storage for client-side requests, or in encrypted environment variables for server-side operations. You can revoke or rotate keys at any time through the dashboard.
Getting Started
Navigate to Settings → API Keys and add your provider credentials. Grimoire will automatically detect which providers you've configured and route requests accordingly. You can mix and match—use Grimoire's managed keys for some providers and BYOK for others, all within the same workspace.
